About RPO Incorporated
RPO Inc. was founded in 1987 by Richard J. Pressel, P.E. after leaving his position as the Director of the Mayor's Traffic and Construction Coordinating Council at the New York City Department of Transportation. Equipped with his unique knowledge and experience about the inner workings of the City, he established the firm in order to serve the construction community by obtaining the approvals and permits needed for their projects. In 1990, Michael Pressel - Richard's son, joined the firm and now manages it. RPO Inc. provides assistance to architects, engineers, developers, contractors, property owners, managing agents, law firms and other consulting/expediting firms by providing consulting services about regulations and procedures, by obtaining the approvals and permits necessary for construction and demolition, by representing clients to remove building violations, and by providing monitoring services for individual properties to assure on-going compliance with City requirements.
