Rudan Ltd is the ESCO company that was established in 1994 by Mr. Graciano Rudan. The core business of the company is energy efficiency, rationalization of energy consumption through ESCO model and installations of metering systems for energy consumption. ESCO comes from the English abbreviation for Energy Service Company and marks the business model where the ESCO company completely finances energy or water saving projects, and is payd only from the part of savings, which is achieved through a defined number of years. This means that the company takes on all the risks surrounding the project implementation. Our USP is that we implement all solutions in-house, as we have a facility management department. Our clients are the largest Croatian shipyards (Uljanik, 3. Maj, Brodotrogir, Brodosplit, BK Kraljevica), the Port of Rijeka, Croatian Railways, large hotel chains (Istraturist, Adris group, Riviera Holding, NP Brijuni), large municipal companies (Coca Cola, Bauhaus, METRO, Badel) and many others. In 2005, 2010 and 2012 we were declared by the Croatian Chamber of Economy as the best small company in Istria, Croatia. In 2008 we introduced the quality system ISO 9001:2008 for the effective management of energy sources and since 2009 we have been members of the International Water Association (IWA). In 2014. Rudan Ltd gained ISO 50001 certificate for Energy management, and now the company provides energy management solutions and preparation for gaining certificate to clients as well. The headquarters of the company are in Žminj, Istria, with branch offices in Zagreb, Split and Rijeka. Company employs 47 full-time employees, 37% of which are highly educated. In October 2014 Rudan Ltd opened first passive business building in Croatia, where all the newest technologies and solutions for energy efficiency are implemented. The building, now head office building of Rudan Ltd, was opened by the president of the Republic of Croatia, Dr. Ivo Josipović.
