About Run 4 Wales
Run 4 Wales (R4W) is a not-for-profit social enterprise and charitable trust set-up to promote, manage and deliver major sporting events. We have grown into one of the UK’s best known mass participation event organisers, driven by a desire to deliver world-class events with a positive social agenda. Our portfolio of events include the Cardiff Half Marathon and Newport Marathon Festival. R4W is a part of the London Marathon Group, after forming a joint venture company with London Marathon Events in 2023. The organisations work together to deliver impact with a focus on inspiring more children to become active and broadening further the diversity of participation in its events. In 2025, we acquired Always Aim High Events, in a move that saw two leaders in the Welsh sporting sector join forces to deliver Wales’s most iconic mass participation events from bases in Cardiff and the Always Aim High Events HQ in Llanberis. AAHE was established in 2011 and has a portfolio of well-established events, showcasing the best of Wales’s natural environment.
