About RUNI

Initially founded in 1973 as a metal forger in the agricultural sector RUNI has since 1996 specialised in the most efficient and energy-saving type of compacting – screw compactors. A combination of the forward movement of the powerful and custom designed screw, and the specially developed pressure chamber with hydraulic jaws enables us to compact a wide range of difficult materials. Especially in the plastic foams where we can compact to a density of app. 330 kg/m3. In this densified form the compacted foams can be loaded and sold for further recycling to new plastic turning a waste material into a valuable recycable mateial. When combined with our customized perforated matrix we can dewater various containers from PET bottles, cosmetics, yoghurt pots, steel cans to wet materials in a process line - reject at papermills, PE film in recycling etc. This dewatering step is cost-effective using very little energy. In many situations the liquid that is re-couped is valuable and can be used in WTE applications. The compacted containers - HDPE, aluminium, steel can be sold for recycling. The RUNI machines are developed for the rough and tough environment in waste segment. Through many years of developement in our own plant we have reached a standard and quality where we give 2 years - 24 months warranty or 6000 working hours, whichever is acheived first.
