Passport Development, LLC is happy to introduce Runway Resort. Its retro, highstyle design will replace chain predictability with innovative food and beverage concepts and first class service. Runway’s array of amenities will clearly differentiate this property and fast track its capture of market share in the midhigh priced luxury, boutique hotel market. The Runway product and amenities will be on par with the competitive set of retro luxury, full service, upscale hotels like the iconic Chateau Marmont and the Standard hotels. Runway will be a welcome addition to Hollywood and Broward County which, right now, has only “Mom and Pop“ motels or hotel chains like Marriott, Hyatt and Hampton Inns. These brands are successful by offering predictability: cookie-cutter design and basic services at a reasonable price. These chains will always be available for tourists worldwide but they lack a fresh, modern approach to hospitality that is necessary to flourish in this changing environment. Runway is in the right location. Hollywood is the last remaining stretch between Miami and Fort Lauderdale to be redeveloped. Its neighbors will include the $147 million, Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, on track for a Summer 2015 completion. The five-acre, luxury-level, 349-room resort will include a 1,056 space parking garage with 600 public spaces, convention and ballroom space, stores, restaurants, a full-service spa and fitness center, a dual-lane wave rider, and other amenities. The resort has been a longtime coming and promises to change (for better or worse) the face of Hollywood Beach and the iconic Hollywood Broadwalk. Passport Development LLC founded by Lauren Abrams with partners Robert Todak and Alan Roth is seek to expand and is actively seeking investors for this groundbreaking hospitality concept.
