Since 1924, Rural Community Action Nottinghamshire (RCAN) has been working with towns and villages across the county. Providing support and guidance to help engage social action, plug gaps in service, and facilitate, encourage, and empower communities to become sustainable. We work alongside community groups and organisations, village halls and community buildings and town and parish councils. Our small but mighty team can provide: Fundraising and Income Generation support for: Capital builds, Refurbishments Accessibility, Amenities and Community Transport . Governance support and understanding around: Policies, Procedures and Compliance, Charity Commission Requirements, Managing committees and succession planning, Holding meetings and Managing key roles and volunteers. Consultation and engagement support for: Community led Parish Plans and Neighbourhood Plans. RCAN are a Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE) Network Member. We support the management committees of Village and Rural Community Halls across Nottinghamshire through a membership scheme.
