TEST PREP At RTC, we believe that test prep tutoring is really college prep tutoring: a way to help students not only “beat the test,” but also develop skills that will make them successful in college and beyond. These skills include critical reading and writing, strong organizational and study skills, self-advocacy, and self-care. We pride ourselves on getting to know our students and developing mindful test prep programs that meet their individual needs. All of our test prep programs include mind-body skills instruction from expert mindfulness coaches, because we understand the importance of the mental game in test-taking. We are specialists in helping "test-anxious" students succeed! ACADEMIC TUTORING RTC has the support your student needs in any subject area, whether because they are struggling or need to boost a specific grade. RTC offers empathetic, helpful tutors who are specialists in various elementary, middle school, and high school subjects. MINDFULNESS Our mindfulness coaching can help students build confidence and overcome false narratives, whether that student is a 3rd grader struggling with reading confidence, an AP Physics student struggling with test anxiety, or a 10th grader who’d simply like to learn the skills of mindfulness and meditation to become a happier and healthier young person. We teach students practical, accessible tools that they can use to help themselves feel better when they experience stress and anxiety. COLLEGE APPLICATION ESSAYS Our college application essay tutors are pros in the field. Our tutors bring years of teaching experience to writing tutoring, and can help your student with all aspects of the writing process, from wherever they are starting: idea generation, outlining, writing, revising, editing, and proofreading. We’ll help your student create a unique essay that reflects their authentic voice. We also offer support for college and graduate writing.
