Since its foundation in 2009 by Yana Аuger, the Russian School of Ballet (RSB) remains one of the leading ballet schools in Johannesburg. With the ultimate goal to instil a love of dance in every student while helping them achieve their unique ballet dreams, it offers classes for boys and girls from the age of three through pre-professional training. 3-4 years old: Creative dance 5-7 years old: Pre-ballet 7-9 years old: Level 0 As from 9 years old: Pre-professional ballet training with classes in: - Repertoire - Character Dance - Contemporary Dance - Modern - Jazz At the school, the highly qualified teachers use the Vaganova ballet technique and training system. On one hand, the programme based on this unique method permits the students to progress in a safe, systematic way, while on the another, it takes into account the children's unique anatomy, physical and cognitive development.
