About Rustic Hound

Rustic Hound was inspired by my dogs, other dog lovers, and the never ending search for products that are unique. I felt that my HOUNDS personality was bigger than any product I could find, and that it was time to add some character to the same old thing... We had a vision of a collar that gave owners the opportunity to design it to their likes, or their HOUNDS special interests. As this project evolved, we realized we weren't alone on this quest. We invented a collar that works with Jibbitz shoe charms. These charms have been around a while, and come in just about every animal, letter, gem, sport, or thing you can imagine. Our Great Dane Rockie has an intense love for squirrels, and a very special place in his heart for our cat. We can now add his two favorite things to his collar. Our biggest concern was making these durable for the dog that goes EVERYWHERE with you. The charms would have to stay in place, and would have to hold up in the dirt, snow, ocean, and even when they ran wild in the woods. It has been quite the adventure, and getting this thing going hasn't been the easiest task. My background was strictly Criminal Justice for the last 8 years, and my partner has a solid 14 in as an Iron Worker. So our kitchen has been our work shop, and the HOUNDS became top models. I believe that this was the challenge that I had been looking for, and our first product will be something all dog lovers will enjoy. RUSTIC HOUND For those who wander off the path...
