About Ruth's Table

Ruth’s Table is a Creative Engagement program of Front Porch Community Services that expands access to the arts for older adults and people living with disabilities by offering a dynamic suite of workshops, events, and rotating art exhibitions. Through inclusive programming and strong community partnerships, Ruth’s Table fosters intergenerational connections across cultures, abilities, and lived experiences. All offerings are provided free of charge to participants of all ages. Bold, relevant, and boundary-pushing work is at the center of Ruth’s Table’s exhibitions and events, reflecting the richness of the community and the world at large. Annual programming includes Radical Resilience (art of disability culture), Boldly Ourselves (LGBTQ+ Pride), Lunar New Year, Día de Los Muertos/Day of the Dead, and Gallery Takeover (co-produced with Creative Spark and Front Porch Gallery). Located in San Francisco’s Mission District, Ruth’s Table maintains a gallery, art studio, garden patio, and multi-purpose Community Room—supporting exhibitions, performances, and inclusive gatherings of all kinds.
