About SAAGE Culinary Studio

SAAGE Culinary Studio opened in 2015 as the first dedicated, FDA and health-department certified, commissary kitchen in the Chicago West suburbs. We help foster entrepreneurship in our community by lowering their barrier-to-entry, reducing the capital needed for them to start, eliminating their operational costs, and making it as low-risk as possible to test the market for a food business concept. Our vision is to help each one of our members establish their business with minimal upfront investment, so they can eventually outgrow our kitchen. We take pride in the fact that this vision has been fulfilled many times over the past 10 years, as some of our members have graduated to their own brick & mortar, and others have been successful in signing wholesale contracts with retailers. Our facility also serves as a culinary hub that infuses the local culinary landscape with multinational cuisines, by offering cooking classes, tasting events, and community gatherings, in collaboration with local chefs to showcase their creativity. Our events attract local residents who are looking for intimate social gatherings, with the benefit of direct interaction with the chefs preparing their meal, inside a gorgeous venue that blurs the line between "back-of-house" and "customer-facing".
