About Saave Me
Welcome to SAAVE ME. This is an upcoming non-profit that was started by 2 Black Women Survivors of Sexual Assault. SAAVE stands for Sexual Assault Advocacy for Victims Everywhere. Our founders are the late Carmen Hendrix who passed away on September 10, 2018 leaving behind an incredible family, friends, and legacy. Leah M. Forney is our co-founder who has been speaking, training, and advocating on behalf of victims, survivors, and thrivers of sexual assault for the last decade. After Carmen's passing, Leah went on a soul search and decided it was time to continue what her and Carmen had started back in 2018. Here at SAAVE ME we are striving to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for victims, survivors, and thrivers of sexual assault while also providing training and education to our schools, colleges & universities, corporations, and other non-profits.
