Sabre Yachts - manufacturers of semi-custom downeast motoryachts and sailing yachts, crafted in Maine since 1970. The Sabre Yachts lineup consists of six models, all with vee-hull designs and semi-custom stick-built interiors, and are available in Salon Express and Fly Bridge designs. For more than 45 years Sabre yachts have been manufactured in the towns of Raymond and Rockland, Maine, by 200+ crafts-people. The Sabre team proudly represents the state's centuries-old shipbuilding heritage, continuing traditions and applying cultural knowledge that have been passed down since the original Popham Colony was founded in 1607. Our crafts-people are the 'secret ingredient' to Sabre's success, and their talent and dedication result in the highest quality downeast style motoryachts on the market today. Sabre Yachts have been "Crafted in the Maine Tradition" since 1970 when the company’s founder, Roger Hewson, set out to build the finest possible 28-foot sailing yacht, using production-line methods and fiberglass technology. In 1989 Sabre created our first motoryacht, the Sabre 36 “Fast Trawler,” and with that first success began our rapid rise to the top of the power market. Today, our six power models consist of Salon Express and Fly Bridge styles, range from 38 to 58 feet in length, and offering cruise speeds of 25 knots and top end speeds in excess of 30 knots.
