About Safe at Sea
SAFE AT SEA = SAFE AT WORK We contributes to saving lives by developing, producing and offering small flexible and cost efficient search-and-rescue (SAR) systems to marine professionals all over the world. Our goal is to contribute to minimalizing the casualties at sea, in lakes, and in rivers – in all waters. We also want to help improving the safety of the working environment for marine professionals. Therefore we have developed professional training programs for these operators as well as that we offer best-in-class personal equipment for these operators. Our flagship-product RescueRunner was originally developed by Sjöräddningssällskapet (Swedish Sea Rescue Society) in order to have a small, versatile, efficient and robust boat with the ability to reach difficult, narrow and shallow waters with the capability of saving lives in a safe and quick way. The RescueRunner is easy to operate also in hard weather, in rough waters and among cliffs and rocks. It is designed to reach where other boats cannot go and enables rescuing also of unconscious people in the water- only carried out by a single operator. It is used in 21 countries, on 3 continents in the world per todays date and it is used by Search and rescue organisations, Coast Guard, Firefighters, Civil Defence, Red Cross, Ports/Harbours, Police, Military/Special Forces, Customs and different Lifesaving organisations.
