We provide personal safety solutions for business, family, college, personal and NGO use using smartphones and other devices. For employers, we help you to meet your 'Duty of Care' obligations towards employees that are on their own at any point during their working day or who may be subject to risk outside of working hours because of their job. Traditionally thought of as being applicable for 'lone workers', i.e. those that work away from base, we are seeing an increasing need from employers looking to protect staff that open up a premises in the morning or lock it in the evening, or who find themselves working alone during the day. For employees, our service incorporates a panic button that can be triggered on a smartphone when an employee needs urgent assistance. This is not always as a result of a physical threat, but can be triggered by an employee that suddenly feels unwell and is unable to call or text for help. The service also includes a timed alert that employees used in a variety of ways. Examples include setting a duration for an activity such as visiting a client at home, locking up in the evening, walking to a car or any other activity where an employee wants an alert triggered if they fail to cancel their timer. One unique feature of our service is that it can be used for both business and personal or family purposes within the same app. This means that employers can provide support for staff during working hours, but outside of working hours, support can be provided by family or friends. Family use means that parents can have peace of mind knowing that their children can trigger an alert to their parents whenever they feel uneasy, and parents can locate and reassure them or arrange help if they need it. The service can be used on campus to help protect students, especially female students who can be subjected to unwanted advances and sexual assault. NGO use is similar to employers but with support for volunteers and employees.
