About SAFEPLANT s.r.l

SafePlant, a spin-off of the Engineering Department of the “Roma Tre” University, includes many years of international experience in scientific research and collaboration with the main players in the Oil & Gas world. The group includes highly qualified engineers with a strong link with the academic world, thus bringing to society the advantages of continuous scientific-technological updates to be poured out for the benefit of the customer. Most of the activities carried out by SafePlant partners during the last few years have concerned the analysis of the seismic vulnerability of industrial plant components also with the validation in the laboratory of the models used, the development of new risk and resilience assessment methodologies, the seismic design of new industrial equipment, the study of seismic adaptation interventions of existing buildings and industrial equipment, the calculation of damage scenarios for plants at risk of major accident and many other activities related to the industrial world. Many of these activities were funded and conducted within national and European research projects, resulting in scientific publications in industry journals. This link has not been interrupted and SafePlant therefore continues in the research activity, including students and young researchers of its own activities, thus continuing the precious work of scientific publication and, at the same time, fully respecting the spirit of the so-called “Third mission”.
