This was the moment SAFER® came to life. In 2010, our first 6.8-liter cylinder received official certification. Just two years later, we were awarded the prestigious DuPont™ Kevlar® Innovation Award, and leading industry media began writing about a new generation of game-changing pressure cylinders. SAFER® cylinders are up to 70% lighter than their steel counterparts, yet resistant to corrosion, safe for users, and gas-neutral. They do not conduct electricity, do not overheat, and protect against electric shock — making them reliable even in the toughest conditions: in rescue operations, healthcare, defense, firefighting, and transport.
