About Safety Pass Alliance (SPA)
Safety Pass Alliance (SPA) Ltd is an organisation who create and run Safety Passport Training Schemes and to effect their delivery through a National Network of accredited training providers working together with industries SPA is committed to providing a nationally recognised standard of health and safety training assurance. Our courses are designed to provide people with an understanding of their H&S and safety responsibilities at work in compliance with their legal requirements, best practice in H&S and safety and their organisations health and safety policy. SPA work with Employers, Employer Associations, Trade Unions, National Trading Organisations and other relevant bodies to design and develop training programmes tailored to suit each sector. SPA have designed and accredited several passports for different sectors. Examples are; UK Petrol Industry Association (UKPIA) along with COGENT (Sector Skills Council), in the development of a Contractor Petrol Retail Passport which is highly successful and considered best practice within this sector. Mineral Product Sector - for many years devising and implementing a Quarry Passport in conjunction with MPQC the awarding body for the quarry industry. SPA also operate safety passport schemes in the Food & Drink and Live Events marketplaces along with a few bespoke internal induction programmes for larger employers. SPA have launched a new scheme working with the Roadside Fuel Recovery Standard group to create a course as part of a national standard for those who work in the vehicle mis-fueling industry. Our new E Learning programme for Petrol Forecourt Employees working in the petrol retail industry is now available, contact us for more details. We are currently working on a Safety Passport scheme for the Warehousing and Logistics Industry aimed at Agency & Casual workers in conjunction with UKWA. This would create a common safety standard for all temporary staff employed within this industry.
