About Sail Training Ireland for Youth Development
Sail Training Ireland is a charity who funds the development of young people from all backgrounds and all abilities on the island of Ireland by giving them the opportunity to participate in traininng programmes on the uniques setting of tall ships and other vessels. In addition to our sail training programme with six different vessels we also offer a STEM at Sea Training programme with our partners Seas Your Future. While they obviously learn about sailing it’s more about learning from the whole experience. The exciting adventure offers the participants the opportunity to overcome fears, push boundaries and take on new responsibilities in a challenging environment. The experience promotes self-confidence, enhances self-esteem and develops leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
