About Sail2Change

Our MISSION is to improve community equity by empowering our youth through access, opportunity, authentic relationships, and alternative outdoor education. Our VISION is to provide meaningful experiences for our youth to learn new skills, build self-confidence, and be immersed in opportunities they may have never had access to before. Through our partners, sponsors, and supporters, we can build a community where our youth feel safe to discover the best version of themselves. Our program is held by three pillars; - Recreation through sailing - One-on-one mentorship and career guidance - Job training and college readiness through internships, job shadowing, and more! One of our major goals is to set students up for success after high school. We have pivoted our program to become a pipeline to careers in the maritime and marine science fields. We are always looking for new ways to partner with companies and organizations who align with our mission. Whether or not one of our adolescents wants to follow the maritime career path, our main goal is help them gain confidence, a sense of community and belonging, and to provide them with experiences and opportunities they may not have otherwise.
