About Saint Ignatius Chicago Rowing
The official St, Ignatius College Prep Crew Team based in Chicago. SICR is a non-profit organization (501 (c) (3), which is governed by a board of parent volunteers. SICR depends on athlete rowing fees, fundraisers, and donations to sustain operations, including financial aid so that rowing at Ignatius is accessible to any interested student. Our continued success is rooted in the efforts of our athletes, coaches, parents, and board members. The team has grown significantly over the past 25 years, gaining regional and national recognition. At Saint Ignatius Chicago Rowing, we're all about celebrating diversity and embracing the love of rowing. We believe that this sport, with all its challenges and demands, offers the perfect setting for the holistic growth of our student athletes—mind, body, and soul. We're passionate about guiding our students to discover, appreciate, and fully embrace their athletic potential as they strive to triumph in both the MSRA Midwest Championships and the SRAA National Championships. But it's not just about winning trophies at Saint Ignatius Chicago Rowing. We're committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and supported. We provide financial aid to ensure that financial barriers don't hinder anyone from participating and experiencing the transformative power of rowing. We're all about pushing boundaries, fostering personal growth, and celebrating the beauty of this incredible sport together.
