Salt Aotearoa aims to inspire connection to the moana/ocean and to self through freediving and kaimoana/seafood. We are a community of water wāhine/women who connect through our love of the ocean. Freediving and the ocean have the magical ability to transform lives and can have a huge impact on our whole hauora/wellbeing. With a deeper connection to ourselves, our identity and to te moana often comes a drive to want to protect it. It's all about CPR – Connect // Protect // Respect. Wāhine/women are at the forefront of our kaupapa and we hope to inspire and empower our water wāhine to learn the skills to keep themselves safe and happy in the ocean while freediving or collecting kaimoana/seafood. So, whether you're just starting out, never tried freediving before, or wanting to connect with more likeminded wāhine, Salt Aotearoa is here to tautoko/support you.
