About Salt Company

Salt Co originated in DuPage County, in the western suburbs of the USA. An adult leader called forth student leaders in several high schools in the towns of Wheaton, West Chicago and Glen Ellyn and they met regularly to inspire each other to be the ‘salt of the earth’ in their high schools. As a result of this regular gathering, thousands of high school students and eventually middle school students started to gather in homes and in super groups together to talk about important issues of Life. The movement spread to the Western Great Lakes Region and eventually culminated in the DC/LA national movement of the largest youth ministry in the world called Youth for Christ, that was the precursor to the Billy Graham association. The name DC/LA stood for the two largest convention centers in Washington D.C. and Los Angeles that were filled up every 3 years for the last 25 years, with student leaders who convened to be trained on how to turn their schools and communities upside down for good. The new Salt Co. is a reconstitution and reformation of the original organization , re-tooled into a high tech/high touch approach that can touch and transform North America and then, the world.
