About Salud Para Todos Caribe
Salud Para Todos Caribe seeks social justice, community connection and healing for body, mind, spirit and planet by creating space for traditional medicine modalities and broadening access to modern therapies in the Talamanca region of Costa Rica. Launched in January, 2023, Salud Para Todos Caribe is a nonprofit organization based in Puerto Viejo of Talamanca, on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast. Salud Para Todos Caribe was founded out of a desire to fill gaps in the public healthcare system and broaden access to preventive and integrative medical modalities, making these types of therapies and consults available to populations that lack the economic resources to pay out of pocket. We also aim to serve as a service-learning site for foreign students and professionals (primarily from the U.S.) in medicine and public health to visit our organization with the goal of serving their global community, and learning from local healthcare providers and indigenous healers.
