About Sam's Skate School

Sam's Skate School is a local social enterprise operating in Tauranga and the surrounding suburbs. We offer FREE after school and school-holiday skateboarding lessons to local tamariki. Sessions will run every Wednesday after school at different skate parks across the city. Sessions run from 4-5pm in winter, and 4-6pm in summer. We also run sessions during the school holidays. All sessions are completely FREE. Sam's Skate School was founded to provide skateboard tuition to young people who want to learn this progressive and fast evolving sport. Skateboarding is now one of the most popular sports for young people in the world, as demonstrated by its recent inclusion in the Olympic Games. Our aim is to provide skateboard tuition to young people in Aotearoa who might not have the opportunity to get into the sport due to socio-economic circumstance.
