OUR HISTORY OF SNACKING: In 2000, a group of passionate snackers were inspired by the flavours and textures of South America, the essence of consuming natural, local ingredients and the magic plenty of the Andean Rainforest. And so came to be established the Exotic Blends Co. SAMAI, its main brand, is a word derived from Quichua, Ecuador’s most widely spoken indigenous language, and translates to “breath of the rainforest”. Our name encompasses the passion for Ecuador’s culinary tradition and respect for its bountiful land. WE WORK WHERE WE LIVE We are strategically based in Santo Domingo de Los Tsáchilas (Ecuador), amidst the fields where our local farmers grow and hand-pick the finest fruits tropical vegetables. WE WORK WHERE WE LIVE: The harvest is then immediately carried to our facility, where we employ the latest technology and rigorous quality control standards to guarantee that our tasty snacks retain all their freshness and natural goodness.
