About San Francisco Fog Rugby Football Club
Founded in 2000, the Fog is the West Coast’s first gay and inclusive rugby team, welcoming players of all skill levels—including complete beginners. Our mission is to be the preeminent rugby club in the world that actively pursues the participation of people of color, gay men, and other groups traditionally under-represented in rugby, expanding access to the sport while fostering health, camaraderie, and civic pride. On the pitch, we compete in the Northern California Rugby Football Union season, IGR tournaments, and friendlies throughout the year. Off the pitch, we host fundraising events and volunteer at LGBTQ+ community programs, creating fun, sex-positive, and welcoming spaces for all. We proudly invite athletes, allies, and supporters to join the Fog Family—and partner with us through sponsorships and tax-deductible donations.
