About Sanctuary by the Brook
The mission of the Sanctuary is to offer a S.O.S. to the single mothers who need help. What we mean by this is that we will offer to them Shelter, Opportunity, and Safety. It is our purpose to combat homelessness by providing shelter and safety to women and their children who have been displaced by abuse and/or poverty; to prevent dependency on a governmental and/or community welfare system by teaching independent living skills through both instruction and application; to promote independence by providing the opportunities necessary to exercise the instruction given through mentoring, counseling, and legal advocacy.
