About Sanctuary Horses

Sanctuary Horses is a nonprofit organization that provides a home for horses seeking a new purpose, or to rescue horses from situations that are abusive, endangering, or neglectful. We also educate the public on how to care of horses, as well as how to prevent animal cruelty. Our goal is to work with the horse to restore its health when necessary and prepare the horses to assist with therapy services within our community. This can be helpful for a variety of different mental health conditions. Because horses demonstrate the ability to make personal connections with individuals, they are valuable in individual, family, or group therapy.
