Sanctuary PBC is a survivor-led, female BIPOC-founded and run public benefit corporation delivering a mobile-first, trauma-informed platform for emergency housing placement. Every day in the U.S., more than 11,000 people are turned away from shelters because of limited space, outdated systems, or lack of funding. Whether fleeing domestic violence, experiencing homelessness, or displaced by natural disaster or sudden crisis, too many people face locked doors when they need safety most. Sanctuary was built to change that. Our mobile-first technology empowers first responders, advocates, schools, hospitals, and service organizations to place displaced individuals — including survivors of domestic violence, unhoused students, disaster victims, and anyone in crisis — into safe hotel rooms in real time, at no cost to the person in need. Survivor-led and trauma-informed, Sanctuary is designed for speed, dignity, and security. By replacing outdated, shelter-dependent models with mobile-first solutions, we ensure safety at the exact moment it’s needed most. We work alongside governments, nonprofits, and corporate partners to deliver immediate housing and build pathways to long-term stability. Our mission is simple: Safety is a human right.
