Sanken was established in 1996 in Jakarta. The founders have over 20 years of experience in the electrical goods business. When Sanken started operating, it had around 100 employees. Today, the company has more than 1,000 employees, including sales and marketing staff, administrators, technicians and engineers, research and development experts. While most of the staff are Indonesian, Sanken also employs a number of highly skilled Japanese expatriates with many years of experience in the electronics industry. Sanken is a consumer electronics company that endeavours to make life easier and happier by providing quality electrical products that meet the consumer's needs for both household appliances and home entertainment. The Sanken brand stands for high-quality consumer electronics of a Japanese standard. It also means nicely designed, reliable products with low electricity consumption, good value for money and reliable after-sales service. The company's logo is a pyramid, which is intended to reflect Sanken's philosophy of providing quality products, competitive prices and superior service. All products are manufactured in their 12 hectares certified production facilities located in Curug – Banten, in the western part of Java, Indonesia. Distribution of the products is handled by a nationwide network of 24 branches and more than 3000 authorized dealers spread across the entire archipelago of Indonesia.
