About Santa Barbara Christian Camp
San Marcos exists to help people see, know, and experience God Since 1956, San Marcos Christian Camp has been ministering in the name of Jesus Christ to people across the Central Coast and beyond. Tens of thousands have joined the Kingdom, countless others have renewed their walk, and many others are serving churches and on the mission fields across the world. Although San Marcos is surrounded by great natural beauty and great recreational opportunities, our primary goal is to create a distraction-free environment where our guests have opportunities to see, know and experience God. Our 150-acre facility is located approximately two hours north of Los Angeles in the Los Padres National Forest at an elevation of 1,100 feet. Thousands of people attend San Marcos each year. Many guests are with groups that program and run their own Custom Retreats. Genesis Account and American Ourdoor Science School meet at the same location. Our goal is to exceed our guests’ expectations at every level. To do this takes teams of high performing staff who posess servant’s hearts and embrace the value of saying “yes” to our guests whenever feasible- even if it requires extra work.
