John John Valle, originally from London, holds a Master's degree in Social Anthropology from the University College of London. He later relocated to New York City, delving into the study of documentary filmmaking at NYU. Throughout his career, John John has engaged in a diverse array of roles, encompassing directing, filming, and editing across a wide spectrum of content, including feature films, documentaries, TV shows, and advertising campaigns. While residing in Brazil, he contributed as a second unit camera for the Oscar-nominated film "The Edge of Democracy." His work has reached audiences through major Brazilian and international TV channels and has involved collaborations with renowned global brands such as Starbucks, Coca-Cola, Lancôme, Nike, Yahoo, Adidas, Instagram, Google-Android, McDonald’s, and Brazil's esteemed Piauí magazine, among others. Additionally, his extensive portfolio comprises promotional films for various fashion houses. John John's breakthrough moment arrived with a significant nomination for Best Documentary at Rio's International Film Festival in 2010, highlighting his feature film "9714-98 Alternative Sentences against Prison." In 2016, he directed "A Lonely Man's Fight," a feature-length documentary commissioned by ESPN Brazil, chronicling the journey of Taekwondo athlete and Olympic hopeful Diogo Silva. This documentary was created in collaboration with the renowned producer Zé Henrique Fonseca. More recently, John John has been involved in creating content for the Working Voices portal, directing and editing motivational short films and documentaries. His multifaceted career reflects a dedication to impactful storytelling and a wide-ranging portfolio of compelling projects.
