SAPEC Group SAPEC GROUP (Société Anonyme de Produits et Engrais Chimiques du Portugal) had its origins in a family business that started in 1926. Initially SAPEC conducted its activity in the exploration of pyrite mines in Alentejo, following this in 1964 a diversity of its activity started to integrate the production and commercialization of a wide range of products for agriculture, fertilizers, agro chemicals and livestock feed production. SAPEC CHEMICAL Sapec Chemical which integrates SAPEC GROUP started its activity in June 1988 as QUIMEPEC-Chemical Products, Metals and Fuels Limited. In January 1st 1991 it started to integrate as a division in SAPEC Commerce and Services SA founded on the 12th of February 1990, having as its main shareholder SAPEC PORTUGAL SGPS, SA. On the 19th of July 2000 SAPEC COMMERCE AND SERVICES changed its name to SAPEC CHEMICAL and is currently using the same name. In January 2004 the acquisition process and merger by integration of the companies Quimiflex, Solvind, Proquisol and Sapec - Animal nutrition was concluded and SAPEC CHEMICAL SA started to have a share capital of 3.415.000 Euros. In March 2012 it was decided the merger by integration of the affiliate company SARCOL II Chemical in Sapec Chemical SA. SAPEC CHEMICAL experience of a decade and a half of working in the industrial chemical sector of high prestige and dedication, allied to the continuous perfection of work methodology made it possible to have gained suitability and solidity recognized in the markets that is operating in. SAPEC CHEMICAL facilities obtained the following Certifications: - In February 2018 Quality System Management Certification in compliance with NP EN ISO 9001:2015. - In February 2018 Environmental Management Certification System, in NP EN ISO 14001:2015.
