About Sapiens Design Studio

We are Alessandro Mattia and Gloria Gianatti, the co-founders of Sapiens Design Studio, a product design studio dedicated to crafting pieces with character, where beauty and purpose spark inspiration, stir emotions, and weave into the everyday lives of those who use them. Our philosophy centers on the synergistic interaction between humans and objects. We believe in creating products that tell stories, stimulate curiosity, and invite exploration, enriching the daily experience through unexpected possibilities. For us, creating objects that convey a lasting message means adopting a sustainable and responsible mindset from both environmental and social perspectives. Our work has been recognized with international awards such as the Red Dot Design Award, A'Design Award, GIDA, and the SIT Furniture Design Award. Our projects have been selected to represent Italian design in exhibitions organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Beyond our studio practice, we are passionate about fostering the next generation of designers. We have served as lecturers for the Kioskedia Architecture & Design Academy and are jury members for the KIOSKedia International Design Awards.
