About SARAID
Founded in 2003, SARAID is a British charity that provides disaster zone Search and Rescue expertise; Humanitarian Relief and Community Resilience resources in the UK and overseas. Staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers and funded solely by public donations - we receive no government or lottery funding. Every penny raised is spent on equipment, training and transporting our teams to where we are needed - whether that is a disaster site on the other side of the globe or providing community support work locally. We are on call 365 days a year, always ready to provide trained and disciplined personnel, free of charge. Unlike larger charities, we don’t have a Chief Executive, salaried staff, property overheads or TV and media advertising budgets. Put simply, this means your kind donation isn’t watered down and helps us to help those in need. THE MONEY THAT YOU PUT IN IS THE MONEY THAT HELPS.
