About SARLUX
Our company, fully owned by Saras, is based in Sarroch (Cagliari) and operates in the Oil Refining and Power Generation sectors. Sarlux owns and manages one of the largest refineries in the Mediterranean (300 thousand barrels/day) and is among the most advanced in terms of plant complexity. Within the same site, there is also a Combined Cycle Gasification Plant, perfectly integrated with the refinery, which produces electricity using the heavy hydrocarbons deriving from the refining process. With an electricity production of approximately 4TWh/year, we play an essential role in the stability and security of the Sardinian electricity grid. The commitment and know-how of our people are the key elements to ensure the growth and sustainable evolution of our business, while continuing to create value for our communities and stakeholders. Sarlux site is a benchmark in terms of efficiency and sustainability thanks to the operational and technological skills achieved in over 60 years of activity. Our strong integration with the territory contributes to the economic development, also through local suppliers of goods and services.
