About SASA - Security Association of South Africa
SASA is an employers' organisation, registered in terms of the Labour Relations Act, South Africa. Our organisation represents its members in respect of all matters of interest to the industry as a whole, such as the industry negotialtions in respect of remuneration and conditions of employment, legislation regulating the private security industry in South Africa, etc. Our members collectively employ in excess of 100,000 security officers and, as such, is by far the largest and most proactive of the employer organisations in South Africa. SASA and its members are passionate about compliance enforcement in the private security industry and are currently in the process of setting up a mechanism to facilitate the identification of non-compliant service providers, with the view to either assist them in becoming and remaining compliant, alternatively, removing same from the industry. As such, membership of SSEO is only granted to those security service providers who can provide documentary proof of compliance upon joining, as well as annually thereafter.
