About Saturday's Bread

Saturday's Bread is a hot meal program provided without cost for anyone who'd like to share it. We operate at the First United Methodist Church in Oneonta, NY. We prepare and serve a hot buffet-style meal every Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with beverages, desserts, and side dishes. We also provide Take-Out and Take-Free prepackaged food items that guests can take home with them to provide extra meals for the week. We are a nonprofit volunteer organization started by an ambitious group of parishioners in May, 1992, but have grown to include many differing organizations, business, community and civil. We have served every Saturday since that time through the dedication of our volunteers, supporting groups, local supermarkets and food banks, and long-serving board of directors.
