Saturn Flight Simulator is a patented flight training simulator, developed from the scratch to enhance flight training. Positioned to be disruptive with its unique design, allowing for unrestricted 360 degree rotation on Yaw, Roll, Pitch and linear movement on Heave. Saturn Sim is a concept for a novel flight simulator, which incorporates four degrees-of-freedom (4DOF) of mechanical motion to simulate full 6DOF motion as experienced by the user. As a result of the device kinematic configuration. This device can achieve simulation of flight profiles that are not achievable using alternate flight simulator motion architectures. The ultimate intent of the Saturn Sim team is FAA certification of a device implementing this technology as a full-flight simulator (FFS). Although a three-axis gimbal system has been well-proven for angular motion control in various other applications, it has not yet been applied to a flight simulation application and represents a novel approach which allows flight path trajectories that are not achievable with the Stewart platform. The Saturn Sim team is interested in securing investment resources which will enable the construction of a prototype and performance of initial feasibility testing. Designed to overcome limitations on traditional steward platform simulators, which has maximum displacement of 25-30 degrees, and are inheritably expensive for purchase, operation and maintenance. Designed for all level of flight training and aircraft configuration, it would be vital equipment for all-inclusive training replacing existing simulator fleet. Saturn Simulator has garnered lot of positive feedback from aviation industry, including pilots and training facilities around the globe. High return on investments is anticipated for this venture.
