About Savage Sisters Recovery, Inc

Savage Sisters Recovery works in the Substance Use Disorder recovery field, confronting housing insecurity, stigmatization of drug use, and many co-occurring issues such as the spread of infectious diseases, overdose deaths, local drug supply contamination trends, wounds and ulcers, barriers faced in early recovery, and the lack of education available to the public, specifically youth, surrounding Substance Use Disorder and harm reduction. Our programs serve all of those experiencing and influenced by substance use and misuse issues. Our recovery Housing program is located in the Grays Ferry Neighborhood of Philadelphia. A majority of the residents of the program are from Philadelphia, the surrounding counties, and the tri-state area. Our street based outreach program operates in the Kensington area of Philadelphia, with a focus on those experiencing housing insecurity and Substance Use Disorder. This program is primarily centered around harm reduction and community aid. Our Education program operates throughout the state in Pennsylvania, with the goal to expand across the state. The program offers businesses and corporations, non-profits, other recovery homes, harm reduction organizations, places of worship, and high school and higher education institution sessions that cover information on Substance Use Disorder, and an Overdose Reversal training.
