Savema S.p.A. is an international leader for the supply of marble, granite and other ornamental stones specialized in: - Architectural stonework for exteriors or interiors for worldwide primary projects, including artistic and ornamental works. - Marble, granite, onyxes, travertine and limestone in slabs, directed to international wholesalers and dealers. - Marble blocks, quarried in Carrara area and other Italian and foreign quarries. Savema also offers a wide range of services: from shop drawings preparation, to job-site supervision during the stone fixing to integrate the mechanical and chemical characteristics of stones into engineering of the anchoring system, to better guarantee and assure the security of the external skin of building to the client. Founded in 1975 in Pietrasanta by the families Piacentini and Volterrani, it is located in very favourable geographical surroundings, in the heart of Carrara Stone District, close to quarries and to important means of communication (15 Km from Carrara Port, 40 Km from Leghorn Port). High quality standards, important professional skills and continuous technological renovation have allowed the company to establish itself as partner of the most relevant names of the global architecture, like Norman Foster, Renzo Piano, Skidmore Owings & Merrill, HOK, I.M. Pei, Kohn Pedersen Fox, Cesar Pelli and Jean Nouvel. The success of Savema is strongly tied up to the know-how of its human resources, which has allowed the company to shape up a marked sensitivity in the selection of materials and a thorough experience in the organization of the production and of the product engineering.
