About SaveNature.Org
Since 1988, SaveNature.Org has focused efforts on protecting entire ecosystems and natural communities through innovative conservation strategies and public education. SaveNature.Org supports biologically diverse habitats worldwide by fostering awareness and raising funds through various programs, including: Adopt an Acre, Adopt a Reef, Conservation Meters, Nature Academy, and the Insect Discovery Lab. We collaborate with schools, libraries, universities, zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens, natural history museums, science centers, businesses, and corporations to safeguard wildlife and preserve nature for future generations. Together, we work to inspire global stewardship and ensure the survival of critical ecosystems. To date, SaveNature.Org has reached over 80 million children and adults through partnerships with 150 institutions and 2,700 schools across the United States. These efforts have raised more than $4.7 million to protect wildlife and habitats in 11 countries, preserving the plants, animals, and communities that embody Earth's rich biodiversity. SaveNature.Org has received much recognition, including the World Wildlife Fund’s Conservation Award, the National Environmental Awards Council’s Certificate of Environmental Achievement, Congressional Recognition from the United States Congress, and the Outstanding Contribution to Conservation honor from The Nature Conservancy. Our work has been featured in prominent publications such as Newsweek, National Geographic, Time, Scholastic News, and National Geographic Kids, as well as television programs including Bay Area Backroads, Evening Magazine, and View From the Bay.
