About SaveOhno

With SaveOhno, taking action on climate change is simple, effective, and even fun. SaveOhno uses multiple forms of gamification to deeply engage users and drive outstanding levels of involvement and action. Our platform has won multiple awards for its ability to shift attitudes and behavior in climate action, and will easily extend to other values-based and cause-based issues. Ohno is your fictional granddaughter who lives in the year 2100. Her world is despoiled by climate change - climate change that we can address if we act today. At SaveOhno.org we can take that action, we can learn, change, grow and connect with new organizations to save Ohno and her future world. Actions are based on partner inputs and include signing petitions, contacting decision makers, learning about issues, reducing personal carbon footprint, and more. These actions are curated and delivered in an exciting and engaging way, which builds the user's knowledge, confidence, and effectiveness. SaveOhno's first competition at Babson College in March 2016 was a great success. Dozens of student clubs and organizations competed to see which could have the greatest social impact, and more than 4,500 actions were taken in one month. We are currently working on competitions at other colleges in New England for the fall. In 2017 we will scale our platform to support more colleges, as well as companies and other organizations.
