Saxonica was founded in 2004 by Michael Kay, developer of the Saxon product, to bring what until then had been an open-source product to the commercial market. Saxon is a leading player in XSLT and XQuery processing on the Java and .Net platforms. Saxonica today counts some of the world's largest companies among its customer base.
