Scanman UK was formed in 2010 as a specialist supplier of barcode and data printing solutions to the labelling and packaging industry. Managed by a team of experts with over 15 years experience of barcode design, printing, verification and tracking. After further re-investment in 2011, the company operates from a 14,000 sq ft factory with seven production lines, a workforce of 27 with a turnover approaching 3 million. In 2012, after further research and development the company became one of the few UK manufacturers to be successful in the the production of "small roll" labels offering inner cores, 12.7mm and 19mm for the handheld and portable thermal printers. Scanman, is now recognised as a UK market leader for Direct Thermal and Thermal Transfer labels for all industries. The company continues to offer a dedicated Trade Division service to Print Management, Stationery Suppliers, Packaging Suppliers and other label printers with competitive pricing and confidential supply direct to their clients. A highly dedicated MIS system drives the estimating, sales processing and stock management which allows secure online ordering and order tracking for all clients and is accessible 24/7. In 2014, Scanman UK moved towards the production of high value labelling for the Food, Drinks, Chemical and Health Care sectors and acquired the global BRC/IOP standard for food product safety and quality management. The company now actively produces high quality printed labels of up to 8 colours using UV Flexo inks for short, medium or very large label requirements on practically any substrate. Scanman is constantly looking at ways to reduce waste and improve efficiency within the manufacturing process and is currently working towards ISO4000. Recent investment & appointments has seen us move heavily into the brand protection market, offering tailored solutions to protect and defend the reputation customers have spent years building.
