Scent of Sicily (SOS) brand has been set up in Italy (ING Property srl company) in 2012, then in the UK and Worldwide markets. We sell luxury villa holiday rentals in Sicily along with complimentary services such as local tours, cultural experiences, Sicilian food and related products. We operate in a niche sector of the on-line holiday industry, not competing with the main Online Travel Agencies (OTA) like Airbnb, Home Away and other portals. Our target market are affluent customers (AB social Class) – adults aged 35+ and family groups, the Travel and Leisure Industry in Western countries. We are already on-line leaders in luxury villa rentals in Sicily, in the UK, US and Worldwide markets. Offering a hand-picked selection of luxury villas with pools in charming locations, we provide exceptional customer service – assisting the customer from the booking enquiry stage, right the way through to their departure from resort. The SOS brand is primarily promoted on-line using adverts/SEM activities currently achieving visibility on Google of ca. 75% and 65k followers on Facebook. We are also promoted by other travel agencies worldwide. Currently 70% of their bookings come directly from the website ( www.scent-of-sicily.com ) and social media, 20% via the big OTAs and 10% via foreign or local agents. With 40% of customers coming from the UK, 40% from Northern Europe, 13% from Italy, 5% from the US and 2% from other countries.
