Schaffer Corporation Limited (SFC) is a diversified industrial company with core operating divisions in Building Materials, Automotive Leather and Property. Originally incorporated in 1955, the company was first listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) in 1963 and currently employs more than 1,100 employees in three countries. The Building Materials division is a niche Australian supplier of building, construction and landscaping products which are marketed through a national network of Urbanstone Central retail stores. Delta Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Schaffer Corporation, manufactures a range of precast and pre-stressed concrete floor, beam and wall products, together with custom made precast panel and beam products for major infrastructure, building and resource projects. The Automotive Leather division is a world-class, globally competitive automotive leather producer, supplying quality interior leather products to such household names as Ford, Land Rover, Volkswagen/Audi, Toyota and Nissan. The division operates leather processing and finishing operations in Victoria (Australia) and component cutting plants in China and Slovakia. The Property division has joint venture interests in commercial and retail properties in Western Australia and Victoria. The division’s assets include property held for future development as well as several other properties primarily occupied by the Building Materials division manufacturing and retail operations.
