The German built Schaffer Loaders are a very heavy duty, industrial mini loader, which ranges between 1500kg and 8350kg operating weight. Engines are Kubota from 26 to 90hp and water cooled Deutz up to 177hp. Hydraulics’ are all industrial Bosch/Rexroth and axles made by ZF. A few things that customers like about the Schaffer loader range include: 1. Wide tyres – generally 15” of tread on the ground (mini loader 12”), spreading the load when big logs are picked up and gives superior traction in boggy conditions. 2. Fast – travel speed generally 20km/hr (mini loader 15”). 3. Built to last – Schaffer mini loaders are heavier than other mini loaders as the pins, rams, chassis and mast are the strongest on the market. A 50mm solid bar top and bottom is used for the quick hitch showing just how strong a mini loader they are. This gives peace of mind to the owner that they have invested in a mini loader that is going to last. 4. Oscillating articulation joint with 2,000 hour warranty. The oscillating articulation joint gives a great ride for the operator as it functions as suspension in rough terrain. The operator can work much faster as they aren’t being jolted and are still ready to party at the end of the day. 5. Huge range of tools – rake bucket, bulk woodchip bucket, log grab, rotating log grapple, auger, trencher, slasher and another 40 to choose from! Tools include Schaffer genuine, Digga, Norm Engineering and custom built. 6. Great all round visibility – you sit on top of the mini loader and have amazing all round view, giving safer and faster productivity on the job site, especially in restricted areas. 7. Massive lift capacity – the long wheel base and heavier machine gives superior lift capacities to lighter mini loaders, particularly in rough terrain. There aren’t too many tricks about how much you can pick up, it’s related to your operating weight.
