About Schober Consulting

Before Schober Consulting, Matt gained 8 years of consulting experience. He began his consulting career at a “Big 4” consultancy in Minneapolis, were he worked on a variety of projects, including state benefit implementations and custom application build outs. Later he worked with PayPal, creating a business case associated with cloud vs on-prem technology. Finally, tired of travel, Matt joined a high growth consultancy that followed a regional model, primarily aligned to the cloud migration practice. Matt's pandemic experiences of lock down, divorce, and civil unrest, led him to form Schober Consulting. Post- Pandemic he realized that purpose and meaning were more important than a paycheck. He wanted the next 30 years to be different. Additionally the enormous upheaval our current economic and social structure, made it clear that technology skills were to become an increasingly important way to fulfill labor shortages. Matt wanted to build a company that could hire bright and motivated individuals from non-tech backgrounds, then place them in exceptional roles. As company president, Matt plays an active role in his company. He plays a significant role in growing those around him and immersing the team in our mission and values. Matt is generally staffed with the clients we serve, and is also part of our day-to-day operations. Matt finds that in consulting there are constant challenges and possibilities!
